The International Brass Band Summer School has confirmed that the internationally acclaimed euphonium soloist Glenn Van Looy will be featured in their ‘Geneva Celebrity Spotlight’ during this year’s 30th anniversary course.
His appearance in Swansea is in conjunction with Geneva Group, who is once again sponsoring what is regarded as Europe’s premier Summer School event.
The Belgian star who now lives in Switzerland and performs all over the world, will perform a solo recital on the Wednesday night.
Course Administrator Alison Childs told 4BR: “The International Brass Band Summer School prides itself on being able to attract the world’s finest soloists to be part of the week long experience in Swansea.
This new initiative from our sponsor Geneva Group adds to the attractions we have to offer and gives delegates the opportunity to enjoy one of the world’s finest euphonium players first hand. He is a performer not to miss.”
There has already been an excellent take-up to secure places on the 2020 course which runs from Sunday 2nd August to Saturday 8th August.
All you have to do for the moment to secure your place is place a £20 holding deposit by contacting Course Administrator Alison Childs at: Alison4horn@btinternet.com
